Donated Microsoft Products for Charities

We support several charitable organisations and have just completed a complete network installation for once such client. We have saved them hundreds of pounds by suggesting to them that instead of purchasing full retail copies of Windows and Office they apply for the exact same products through Microsoft’s software donation program.

A company called Charity Technology Trust operate this scheme on behalf of Microsoft and charge a small administration fee to cover their costs. The fees vary, but charities will still make savings of between 92-96% on typical retail prices. They also offer donated software and hardware from other vendors such as Symantec and Cisco.
