Windows 7 Aero Snap Shortcuts

Windows 7 Aero Snap (window docking) is a great feature which I now use all the time, but did you know you can dock windows using the keyboard? Instead of dragging a window to the side of the screen, try the following:

  • Dock current window to left-hand-side = <windows key> + <left arrow>
  • Dock current window to right-hand-side = <windows key> + <right arrow>
  • Maximize current window = <windows key> + <up arrow>
  • Minimize current window = <windows key> + <down arrow>

Aero Snap works well on a PC configured with multiple monitors.
